I built this because I can’t watch the baby all night. It runs 24 hours a day on a Synology NAS at home.
- An AI looks at the camera feed. If something looks dangerous, it sends a Telegram message. If it’s urgent, it calls.
- If the AI doesn’t answer, another AI takes over. If the camera or the program dies, I still get an alert. That way, silence means everything is fine.
- It started on a Raspberry Pi and later moved to the NAS. The same NAS also runs personal AIs that I give tasks to through a messenger.
