I built the office software, POS, and stock-count tools for a large clothing wholesaler in Dongdaemun.
Problem
Stock was different in the ERP ledger, the store POS, and the actual clothes in the warehouse. Each item was last counted by hand on a different day. To know how many were on hand now, you had to add what came in and subtract what went out since that day.
What I did
- I linked ledger receipts and shipments with POS sales, by item and size. The calculation also handles business days that run past midnight and clothes that go out as samples and come back.
- I built an RFID stock-count prototype. Tags are printed in rolls and attached to the clothes. You read them in bulk by sweeping a clothes rack with a reader that has a phone handle, or by placing clothes on a large reader pad. Read tags show up right away on a web screen. Duplicate reads of the same tag are filtered out, and the count is compared with the expected quantity.
- The server runs on AWS, set up with Terraform.
Not yet
The RFID part is a prototype. Count results do not flow into the operating ledger automatically yet.
